Texas-based specialty leather retailer Tandy Leather Factory, Inc. has reported August sales of $4.4 million, an increase of 5% from $4.2 million for August 2005. Year-to-date sales were up 10% to $36.1 million from $32.9 million last year.

Retail Leathercraft posted a 13% sales increase for August, with sales totalling $1.7 million compared with $1.5 million in August 2005. Year-to-date sales for Retail Leathercraft were $14.1 million, a 22% increase over sales of $11.2 million for the same period last year.

Wholesale Leathercraft posted sales of $2.6 million for August. For the year-to-date period, Wholesale Leathercraft sales were $20.9 million, a 1.8% increase compared with $20.5 million in 2005.
