18.1% increase at Natuzzi in Q2
During the second quarter, net revenues at Italy-based leather-upholstered furniture maker Natuzzi S.p.A, increased by 18.1% to €195.6 million from €165.6 million in the same quarter last year. During the same period, the number of units sold increased 18.1%.
Upholstery sales were up 21.9% to €176.7 million from €145 million in the corresponding period last year. Other sales (principally living-room accessories and raw materials produced by the company and sold to third parties) decreased by 8.3% to €18.9 million.

Leather-upholstered furniture sales in the second quarter totalled €153.8 million, 27.4% higher than last year's second quarter, while fabric-upholstered furniture sales decreased by 5.8 %, to €22.9 million.
Second quarter gross profit was €70.7 million, an increase of 36.8% compared with €51.7 million in the second quarter 2005. Net earnings were €9.9 million versus a net loss of €8.4 million in the 2005 quarter.
