Sales increase at Tandy Brands Accessories

US designer and manufacturer of fashion accessories and small leathergoods Tandy Brands Accessories, Inc. has reported a net sales increase of 9.9% to $47.1 million for the fourth quarter ended June 30, compared with $42.9 million for the same period last year. The company reported a net loss of $1 million compared with a net loss of $2.1 million in the prior year's fourth quarter.

The increase in net sales was primarily a result of continued strength in men's and women's belt sales.

For the 2006 fiscal year, net sales increased 2.8% to $227.3 million compared with $221.2 million for the same period last year. The company reported a net loss of $3.5 million, compared with net income of $4 million reported in the 2005 fiscal year.
