Opananken introduces lightest men's shoes

18/08/2006

Brazilian comfort footwear manufacturer Calçados Opananken, based in Franca, has launched a range of men's shoes said to be the lightest in the world. The new styles have natural vegetable tanned 'mestiço' leather uppers and ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) insoles injected by thermal shock which are designed to adapt to the shape of the user’s feet. The sole is flexible and non-slip.

The company claims that a pair of these shoes weighs just 340 grammes.
