Price Western Leather moves into Middle East markets

16/08/2006

UK-based leather and textile carrying systems company Price Western Leather Co Ltd, is looking to increase its exports into Middle Eastern countries such as the United Arab Emirates, with help from the UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) government Passport to Export Scheme.

The company’s products include load carrying belts for use by police officers, security personnel, medics, and country pursuits enthusiasts, as well as rifle and gun holsters, magazine pouches and other security carrying devices –available as ready- or tailor-made.

Before it entered the Passport Scheme in 2004, the company was selling into Europe, but the combination of market research and funding towards a website has seen sales in the Middle East rise, contributing to a 10% increase in turnover. 80% of leather used by Price Western Leather is sourced from the UK, and the company aims to produce quality goods using the most efficient and environmentally-friendly methods.
