Stahl organises upholstery leather finish training course in Mexico
Dutch leather chemical company Stahl recently organised a training course covering new technology for producing fashion effects on upholstery leather and other leather items. The laboratories at Stahl de México and CIATEC were used which enabled the course to be extended to include shoes, leather goods and upgrading in response to requests from attending delegates.
Peter Jessop from Stahl International in Waalwijk, the Netherlands, and Robert Venuto, an upholstery leather and aftermarket specialist from Stahl USA in Peabody, Massachusetts, ran the course and were supported by José Pedroza from the Stahl de México technical service team.
A variety of corrected grain and split leathers were prepared in advance by the tanners and by the company’s Colours and Tanning Products Division to provide a selection of suitable crust leathers from differing origins.
