Specialty retailer and distributor of leather, leatherworking tools, components and accessories Tandy Leather Factory, Inc. has reported that June sales increased by 8% to $4.5 million from $4.2 million last year. Year-to-date sales were up 12% to $27.8 million in the current year from $24.9 million last year.

Retail Leathercraft posted a 25% sales increase for June, with sales totalling $1.8 million compared with $1.4 million in June 2005. Year-to-date sales for Retail Leathercraft were $10.7 million, a 28% increase over sales of $8.4 million for the same period of 2005.

Wholesale Leathercraft posted June sales of $2.6 million. Comparable wholesale centres' sales were $2.1 million for June, which matched June 2005 sales. For the year-to-date, Wholesale Leathercraft sales were $16.1 million compared with $15.6 million in 2005, an increase of 4%.
