Reports indicate that India and Argentina are focusing on improving political and trade links between the two nations.
India’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Anand Sharma has been joined by Argentina's Minister of Foreign Relations, International Trade, Jorge Enrique Taiana in India to discuss bilateral and global issues including India's main exports to Argentina include engineering products, vehicles, auto-parts, two-wheelers and chemicals. Soya oil accounts for 80% of total imports from Argentina, along with leather, wool, paper pulp, minerals and metals.
India's exports to Argentina last year were valued at $269 million and imports said to be $746 million.
