German chemical company BASF has been awarded the national business award for the environment by the Federation of German Industries (BDI) in Berlin. The award was given for the “Partners for Sustainable Development” project, a public-private partnership involving UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organisation), UNEP (United Nations Environmental Programme) and BASF in Africa.
