APLF final attendance figures released
The final visitor figures examined by international auditing firm, PriceWaterhouseCoopers have been published by the organisers of the Asia Pacific Leather Fair (APLF), which shed light on the dominant product sectors, the main purpose of visiting the fair and the decision-making power of the visitors themselves.
Out of a total of 45,915 visitors, the Materials Manufacturing and Technology Fair attracted 27,819 buyers 49% of whom were interested in hides/skins and leather; 13% were buyers of synthetic and natural materials; 20% for components and accessories; 8% fir process chemicals; 4 % were buyers looking for tanning machinery; 5% for footwear machinery; and 1% for technology.
33% of visitors stated that their reason for visiting the fair was to look for new suppliers; 28% said their purpose for being there was to source new items and place orders; 24% were collecting market/product information; and 15% were consolidating contacts.
