Chile is set to lift its ban on beef imports from Argentina in September, providing Argentina maintains its present sanitary conditions.

Beef imports from Argentina were banned in Chile after an outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease in the northern province of Corrientes. Over 3,000 cattle were reported to have come into contact with the highly contagious disease.
