The American Chemistry Council (ACC) has presented its Responsible Care Leadership Awards, recognising Rohm and Haas Company, Milliken Chemical, and Nova Chemicals,  for outstanding leadership under the chemistry industry's environmental, health, safety and security performance initiative.

As a result of this initative, the chemical industry has reduced environmental emissions by more than 75% and achieved a worker safety record that is four and a half times above the US manufacturing sector average.

Chemicals and specialty materials company Rohm and Haas also received awards for its commitment to safety and social responsibility.
