The second IULTCS Euro-Congress was held in Istanbul, Turkey, for the first time on May 24 – 27.

More than 200 participants from 19 countries attended the event at which 26 technical papers were presented covering topics such as the fundamental aspects of collagen, improved process chemistry (beamhouse and tanning), improved process chemistry (post-tanning: dyeing fatliquoring and finishing) and improved process control product performance.
