In his speech at the second Euro-Congress gala dinner, IULTCS president Marc Folachier announced that the Executive Committee has decided to create two new IU commissions, one for Research and another one for Training. IUT (Training) will be headed by Professor Geoff Attenburrow and IUR (Research) will be headed by Marc Folachier. The aim of these commissions will be to prepare structured proposals for their partners.

Mr Folachier also spoke about the ‘International Leather Forum’ which will operate in the fields of strategy, research coordination/cooperation, training coordination/cooperation, positive communication and crisis communication. Approaches have already been made to ICT and COTANCE to participate and may also be made to Hide Trade Associations such as ICHSLTA.
