Canadian-based designer, manufacturer and retailer of leather and suede clothing and accessories Danier Leather Inc. has introduced new initiatives to reduce its selling, general and administrative costs and improve operational efficiencies. The cost reduction initiatives are now being implemented and benefits are expected to be realised during fiscal 2007.

Initiatives include a shift in promotional and advertising activities, staff reductions, merchandise planning, website changes and the closure of underperforming stores.
