Dow Biocides, a business unit of The Dow Chemical Company, and Angus Chemical Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Dow Chemical Company, are introducing eight regional customer application centres around the world to align their business growth strategies with direct market and customer focus.

In addition to their global business and technology development location in Buffalo Grove, Illinois, USA and established centres in Horgen, Switzerland, Singapore and most recently Shanghai, China, Angus and Dow Biocides will open new customer application centres in Dubai, United Arab Emirates; São Paulo, Brazil; Tokyo, Japan; Guangzhou, China; and Pune, India by the end of 2006. Each centre will house a fully-equipped, laboratory that is appropriate for the Angus and Dow Biocides products applications in the region.

In addition to the introduction of the new centres, Anugus and Dow Biocides have restructured their marketing and sales forces to reflect individual business objectives. The new, streamlined structure will feature Nanette Hermsen as global marketing manager for Dow Biocides and Liam Doherty as global marketing manager for Angus. Ms Hermsen will be responsible for the marketing and sales of biocides for all applications, excluding paint and coatings, and Mr Doherty will be responsible for all Angus products, excluding metalworking fluids additives and leather.
