American Leather names new president
US designer and manufacturer of custom upholstered leather furniture American Leather has named Bruce Birnbach as the company’s new president, as part of the company’s new management and ownership restructuring.
As part of the restructuring, Bob Duncan, CEO and co-founder of the company will purchase a controlling interest in the company. Sanjay Chandra, co-founder, president and chief financial officer, and Cary Benson, president and chief marketing officer, will maintain a minority ownership and will transition to a role on the company’s board of directors.
Prior to taking up his new position, Mr Birnbach worked at Rowe Furniture, where he served as president for the past six years.
He joins three recently appointed vice presidents, Matthew Hayward, vice president of marketing, Martin Gibson, vice president of operations and Kelly Montgomery, vice president of finance and administration.
