According to Malaysian media reports, in an attempt to further penetrate the European market for leather automotive upholstery, DK Schweizer Europe BV, the European subsidiary of Malaysian leather upholstery maker DK Leather, is considering acquiring 20% equity in Italian automotive leather upholstery maker Salt s.r.l. The stake will be acquired from Gavina Francesco for €600,000. If the deal is completed it will offer DK Leather a direct connection to the European market through an Italian company which already has established relationships with European automotive makers.
