US-based specialty retailer and wholesale distributor of leather, leatherworking tools, adornments for belts, leather dyes and finishes and saddle and tack hardware Tandy Leather Factory, Inc. has reported April sales of $4.3 million, an increase of 6% from $4.1 million last year. Year-to-date sales improved 12% to $18.7 million from $16.8 million last year.

Retail Leathercraft posted a 21% sales increase for April, with sales totalling $1.7 million compared with $1.4 million in April 2005. Year-to-date sales for Retail Leathercraft were $7.2 million this year, a 27% increase over the $5.7 million reported for the same period of 2005.

Wholesale Leathercraft posted sales of $2.5 million for April. For the year-to-date, Wholesale Leathercraft sales were $10.9 million compared with $10.5 million in 2005—an increase of 4%.
