Retailer of leather outerwear, accessories and apparel Wilsons The Leather Experts Inc. reported sales of $17.1 million for the four weeks ended April 29, compared with $18.6 million for the four weeks ended April 30, 2005. Year-to-date sales for the company's stores decreased 11.4% to $74.7 million compared with $84.3 million for the same period last year.

Comparable store sales decreased 7.9%, this compares with a 13% increase in comparable store sales for the four weeks ended April 30, 2005. Year-to-date comparable store sales decreased 10.8% compared with an increase of 15.8% for the same period last year.
