Owner of tanners Eagle Ottawa, Everett Smith Group, Ltd. has named J. Douglas Gray, as president and chief executive officer. He will replace Anders Segerdahl who is retiring as president, but will remain chairman of the board.

Mr Gray’s career spans investment banking, industry and strategic consulting leadership roles. His most recent positions have included leadership roles at companies such as CSC Index and Braydon Partners, LLC, and serving as a trustee of Northwestern University. He is a director and member of the nominating committee of the Chicago Board Options Exchange and a director of the Northwestern Memorial Faculty Foundation. He has also held senior executive positions with Morgan Stanley, A.T. Kearney, Inc. and Swift Independent Corporation.

Everett Smith Group’s operating companies currently consist of Eagle Ottawa, LLC; Maysteel, LLC; Trostel, Ltd.; Dickten & Masch, LLC; OEM Worldwide, LLC; and Marshall Street Insurance Company.
