French luxury leathergoods manufacturer Auguste Thomas has acquired a 37.4% interest in Marseilles-based ladies’ prêt-à-porter label Didier Parakian.

Didier Parakian believes that by teaming up with a luxury brand it will be able to optimise opportunities in the Asian market, in China in particular.

The company will also double its marketing budget and appoint a new financial director in order to establish its brand in the much sought after Asian market.
