Pakistan's leather exports increase in February

Pakistan’s leather exports rose to $81.535 million in February, a 3.93% increase over the $78.452 million reported in January. The increase is largely attributed to growth in the exports of the leather garments (+13.37%).

A breakdown of the figures released by the Federal Bureau of Statistics showed that in February Pakistan exported finished leather worth $16.267 million, leather goods worth $56.031 million and footwear valued at $9.237 million compared with $16.782 million, $53.243 million and $8.427 million respectively in the previous month. Finished leather exports decreased by 3.07%, however, leather goods and footwear exports rose by 5.24% and 9.61% respectively month-on-month.
