GDS and GLS change dates to optimise visitors’ time
Following discussions with international representatives from the footwear and leather goods sector the organisers of GDS and GLS have decided to change the dates for the September fairs in order to improve the timing of the events in relation to Micam. Therefore, instead of running September 10-12 as planned, GDS and GLS will now be held on September 15-17.
The new choice of days from Friday to Sunday is intended to provide relief for the visitor-intensive Sunday, which, as experience has shown, is used by the retail trade. Bulk buyers, however, use the first days of the fair, which means the new dates will ensure a more even spread of visitors during the event.
The new dates also mean that three days will separate GDS/GLS and Micam, thereby offering numerous advantages for visitors to combine visits to companies at the fair and showroom dates within a short space of time. It will also allow national and international exhibitors sufficient time to attend both trade fairs.
The new scheduling is set to be maintained in future – in close consultation with Micam.
