Despite bad weather during the 101st GDS, held in Düsseldorf, Germany on March 5-7, there was a positive mood amongst exhibitors and visitors.

The footwear event attracted an international visitor contingent of over 55% and an international exhibitor contingent of 80% and approximately 31,500 visitors from 72 countries attended the fair.

Over 1,300 exhibitors from around 45 countries presented their new autumn/winter 2006/07 collections and immediate ranges for spring/summer 2006 across all the relevant segments from premium and young fashion to high volume.

Some of the highlights of the fair were the ‘TrendVision’ event, ‘Design Attack’, the ‘Kids Special’, the ‘Wellness & Comfort’ sector, and the ‘Italian Catwalk’.
