Clariant’s Leather Business has extended its Sandoderm range by adding Sandoderm Deep Brown F and Sandoderm Black D. The products are said to enable tanners to effectively dye their leather in intense shades with high fastness properties.

Sandoderm Deep Brown F has solved a major problem when working with intense brown shades of reaching the required shade with no greyish and dulling effect, combined with a high build up. With the new Sandoderm product a deep and pure, neutral brown shade can be obtained with no greyish or dulling effect, and results in deep neutral to red brown dyeings with excellent fastness properties.

Tanners often face a dichotomy in obtaining intense black dyeings with high fastness levels at reasonable cost. Until now, cheaper dyeings resulted in lower fastness profiles and vice versa. With Sandoderm Black D, Clariant has developed a cost effective dye with intensive shade and outstanding fastness properties.
