Le Cuir à Paris attracts more footwear buyers

The 10th Le Cuir à Paris, which presented the spring/summer 2007 collections, welcomed 162 exhibitors in its larger exhibition space as part of Première Vision Pluriel. 65% of the exhibitors presented finished leathers, 14% textiles/synthetics for accessories, 8% components and chemical products, 4% fur and 10% services.

Italian companies made up the largest group of exhibitors at 54%, followed by France with 27%, Spain 12% and six other countries (Belgium, Germany, Iceland, India, Portugal and Turkey) with 7%.

9,949 visitors attended over the four days of the show, of which some 70% came from overseas. Of those attending, there was a significant increase in the number of leather buyers for the shoe sector, both French and foreign, including American and Asian buyers.

Meanwhile Mod’Amont’s 21st session maintained its high quality audience, attracting 237 exhibitors (13 of which were present for the first time) and 18,714 international visitors (including 11,920 foreigners).
