Assomac to postpone Tanning Tech until 2007
Assomac has announced that it has postponed this year’s Tanning Tech exhibition until 2007, when it will be held with SIMAC.
In a press statement Assomac explained, In an economic world radically altered by globalisation, the international leather and footwear sector has been subjected to a fast-moving structural transformation that is now well-established and irreversible. This new reference scenario has made it impossible not to reflect long and hard on the trade fair system that was and continues to be the driving force behind our market.
"As the organiser of the two most prestigious and important events for the [leather andfootwear] system’s technology worldwide, Assomac Servizi feels it must be the first to launch a far-reaching analysis of the trade fair issue with a view to rationalising and adapting it to the changed conditions of the international market.”
With this in mind, and to meet the needs of the trade fair exhibitors and visitors of today, Assomac has decided to bring all of the leather-related technology sectors under one roof and to postpone Tanning Tech 2006 by six months in order to give rise to a new trade fair event.
This will result in one large event which will be held in April 2007, bringing together the technology sectors related to footwear, leather goods and tanning plus chemistry and will flank the spring Lineapelle.
