Lanxess launches new products for finishing
German specialty chemicals company Lanxess has launched a number of new products for finishing for 2006.
Its new products are Aquaderm XL 70, Aquaderm Matting Agent HPM-N, Bayderm Bottom CTR, Bayderm Finish 91 UD, Bayderm Finish HPV-C,
Baygen Hardener LRF, and Hydrholac UD-3.
Aquaderm XL 70, a solvent-containing formulation of a reactive isocyanate, improves the physical fastness properties of aqueous finishes. Aquaderm Matting Agent HPM-N is an aqueous, solvent-free matting agent in an aliphatic PU dispersion for high-performance leather finishes.
In the Bayderm series, Bottom CTR is a newly developed PUD dispersion with outstanding physical properties and excellent hydrolysis stability; Finish 91 UD is an aqueous, anionic, NMP-free polyurethane dispersion for use in automotive and furniture leather top coats; Finish HPV-C is a polyurethane dispersion modified with an acrylic copolymer, which does not contain N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP).
Baygen Hardener LRF is a light-fast cross-linking agent for organic solvent reduced Baygen lacquer formulations for leathers with good light fastness.
Hydrholac UD-3 is a dull, aqueous, NMP-free polyurethane dispersion designed for use as a matting agent in aqueous top coat systems for automotive and furniture leathers that require particularly good physical fastness properties.
