German specialty chemicals company Lanxess has launched a number of new products for the wet end for 2006.

The new wet end products are Blancorol RB liquid, Levotan FC 100, Levotan XPS, Retingan R10-C, Retingan R16-C, Retingan R12-C, Retingan R12 plus-C

Tanigan HO and Tanigan HO liquid, Tanigan NA-C, Tanigan PAK, and Tanigan XO-C.

Blancorol RB liquid is a chrome-containing synthetic retanning material which can be used in the production of all types of leather.

Levotan FC 100 is a compact retanning material for chrome leathers with an exceptionally good softening effect, suitable for all soft types of leather. Levotan XPS is a light fast, heat resistant and filling polymer retanning material with pronounced softening properties, also suitable as an after-treatment or use in polymer and fatliquoring mixtures.

In the Retigan series, R10-C is an anionic resin tanning material compatible with all commonly used anionic retanning materials, with the filling ability to improve cutting yield; R16-C is a highly concentrated, melamine based resin tanning material suitable for both coloured and white leather; R12-C is a dicyandiamid based resin tanning material, suitable for applications with high requirements regarding the level of free formaldehyde; R12 plus-C is a modified dicyandiamid resin tanning material with excellent selective filling properties, suitable for the production of nubuck and suede.

In the Tanigan series, HO and HO liquid are anionic replacement syntans with excellent light fastness and resistance to heat yellowing; NA-C is a phenole based amphoteric syntan that can be used in all stages of the retanning; PAK is an anionic, neutralising tanning material with high buffering and neutralizing capacity; and XO-C is a phenolic replacement syntan that is particularly suitable for the production of white and pale coloured leather. It can be used as a sole product for tanning and also in combination with vegetable tanning materials.
