The tax rate on imported wet blue into China
In compliance with a WTO agreement, all tax rates on leather products were reduced to the Final Bound Rate in 2005, except for dispersion dyes, acid dyes, reactive dyes etc which will not reach the rate until 2008.
However, following appeals made by the leather industry, it was deemed appropriate to reduce the tax level on wet blue further still.
