Rohm and Haas Company’s board of directors has elected Michael Hamilton as vice president, effective March 1. Mr Hamilton was recently named business unit director for the global Powder Coatings business.

After various postings in the company since 1991, he returned to Philadelphia in 2003, as director of Investor Relations and in 2004 assumed responsibility for the Performance Chemicals and Adhesives and Sealants businesses in APR, based in Singapore.
