Richemont’s sales rise 16%
Swiss luxury goods group Richemont has reported a 165% increase in sales for the quarter ended December 31. According to the company, all business areas performed strongly, benefiting from a generally favourable worldwide economic environment and strong demand for its products. The continued strength of the dollar also contributed to the high level of growth.
Sales of leather and accessories rose 10% and 13% respectively. Alfred Dunhill reported double-digit sales growth. Lancel opened its second Parisian flagship boutique on the Champs Elysées in December with sales for the quarter in its core European market growing by some 7%. Retail sales in
