US branded footwear retailer DSW Inc. has promoted two of its executives and named two new officers.

Deborah Ferree has been promoted from president to vice chair and will continue in her role as chief merchandising officer. Ms. Ferree joined DSW in 1997 and has held several executive positions with the company.

Peter Horvath, who joined DSW in January 2005 as executive vice president and chief operating officer, has been promoted to president.

Kevin M. Lonergan will replace Mr Hovarth as executive vice president and chief operating officer. His responsibilities will include store operations, new store planning and construction, and loss prevention. 

The company has also named William Jordan as vice president and general counsel. Mr. Jordan most recently served as corporate counsel for Lancaster Colony Corporation.
