Effective from January 5, 2006, SVR Leathers (Hull) Ltd in the UK has sold its plant, machinery and business interests to Clayton and Sons as a going-concern. The agreement is said to be mutually beneficial to both parties.

Mr Steve Reynolds will remain in charge of the contract finishing unit at the Hull address and Claytons of Chesterfield, UK, will take responsibility for all production activities. SVR will continue business as usual.

Claytons will use the spare capacity available at SVR which will enable it to increase product development and open certain target markets which had previously been closed to Claytons due to the small hand finishing facilities at its Chesterfield facility.
