US designer and distributor of women's dress footwear The Fashion House, Inc., has announced that Daniel Amado has joined the company as senior vice president and creative director.

"The addition of Dan Amado will take our design team to the next level," said John Hanna, president and CEO of the company. "He is a major force in the footwear industry and we are excited to see his vision help us further develop our brands."

Mr Amado spent 14 years at Nine West Group where he served as president of the Selby Division and senior vice president, product development. 

He also spent five years with Aerogroup International as senior vice president, Product Development for Aerosoles' AS-Signature and A2 brands.

The Fashion House designs and distributes designer women's footwear under license agreements with Oscar de la Renta and Richard Tyler. The company's lines include O Oscar An Oscar de la Renta Company, Oscar by Oscar de la Renta, Richard Tyler Couture and Tyler.
