Puma becomes majority shareholder of Argentine footwear distributor

German sportswear brand Puma has announced that as of January 2006 it will become the majority shareholder of Unisol S.A. in Argentina . Unisol is the current Puma licensee for footwear, apparel and accessories in Argentina and has been responsible for the distribution of Puma’s products in Argentina for almost 30 years. The joint venture also marks the start of phase IV of Puma’s long-term company development plan to expand.
