The Kashmir Leather Fur Manufacturers’, Tanners’ and Dyers’ Association has held an emergency meeting in Safa Kadal, India, to discuss the implications for furriers that have had their stocks seized by the wildlife department.

Members of the association welcomed the government’s offer of 50% compensation to the furriers involved, but remain concerned about the situation.
