DK Leather reports drop in revenue

Malaysia’s largest manufacturer of leather upholstery for the automotive industry, DK Leather Corp. Bhd, has reported a fall in revenue in the second quarter ended September 30 from MYR 29,029,000 ($7,690,830) in the comparable period of 2004 to MYR 28,334,000. Pre-tax profits also decreased to MYR3,225,000 from MYR8,923,000 in the second quarter of last year.

For the six months ended September 30, the company reported revenue of MYR59,548,000 compared with MYR64,196,000 in the comparable period last year. Pre-tax profit also fell to MYR9,576,000 from MYR23,758,000.
