APLF looks set for success

30/11/2005

Propelled by buoyant economies in Asia, particularly those of China and India, the 2006 APLF - Materials, Manufacturing and Technology Fair (MMT) is shaping up as the most comprehensive event in the event’s 21-year history. The show, which will be held in Hong Kong next March 28-31, already had reservations for well over 80% of the available exhibition space by the end of September and more than 60 countries and regions have confirmed their participation with no less than 30 group pavilions from 20 countries and regions. These include Australia, Brazil, China, Colombia, Ethiopia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Korea, Mexico, New Zealand, Pakistan, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, UK and USA.

The Focus Country this year is India and as such will host fashion shows as well as directing visitors' attention to its leather sector specialities.

A number of forums will also be held at the fair. Following its successful debut in 2005, the Manufacturing Technology Enhancement Forum will provide exhibitors with an additional opportunity to present their programme to visitors. The focus will be on CAD-CAM, quality control and the supply chain.

Located in the prime areas of the exhibition halls, the Material Trends Lounges
will feature the main material/product trends for spring/summer 2007 plus the best examples from the exhibitor's ranges.
