French expenditure on leather falls

French household consumption expenditure in manufactured goods, seasonally and working-days adjusted, in volume terms, decreased again in October 2005 (-0.6% after -0.3% in September, revised by +0.3 point).

Consumption expenditure in textiles and leather fell again in October, falling 3.1% month-on-month and 3.4% year-on-year.
Expenditure in durables remained stable in October (after -0.5% in September). Car purchases went down (-1.0% after +2.1%). Household consumption in equipment goods slightly moved up (+0.5% after -2.2%).
