Nairobi leather fair attracts foreign exhibitors

According to organisers of the International Leather, Footwear and Leather Goods Exhibition, to be held in Nairobi, Kenya on December 1-3, the show has attracted exhibitors from many African countries including Ethiopia and Sudan as well as international companies such as Brazil and Egypt. The exhibitors will showcase their latest products across the spectrum of leather and leather products, machinery, chemicals and components, footwear and leather goods, hides and skins.

The organisers, ESALIA and the African Federation of Leather and Allied Industries (AFLAI), stated that the show is testimony to the great efforts put by the industry, African governments and development agencies including the Common Fund for Commodities (CFC), Centre for Development of Enterprises (CDE), UNIDO and the International Trade Centre (ITC) in positioning and integrating the African Leather sector into the global market .
