About 200 young people from the eastern Ampara district of Sri Lanka, which was devastated by last year’s tsunami, are to be taught new skills under a vocational training programme launched by the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) in collaboration with the Agriculture and Industrial Development Foundation (AIDF) on November 10.

The participants will obtain training in diverse areas such as leather manufacturing, fabric painting, and masonry.
