French retail goods group Pinault-Printemps-Redoute (PPR) has reported a 7.5% rise in sales to €4,206.9 million in the third quarter and 5.2% to €12,301.3 million for the first nine months of 2005.

Its luxury goods brands, which include Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Yves Saint Laurent, YSL Beauté, Sergio Rossi, Boucheron, Bedat & Co, Stella McCartney, Alexander McQueen and Balenciaga, were said to have performed outstandingly, with third-quarter sales up 15.3% to €784.7 million and year-to-date sales up 15.7% to €2,135.5 million.

François-Henri Pinault, chairman and CEO, stated: In Luxury Goods, almost all of our brands continued to report strong sales growth - and some achieved truly outstanding increases - while the comparative base becomes higher with each passing quarter. We are therefore confident as we enter the last quarter of the year, which is also the most important for our businesses."
