Brazilian mission to visit countries that have banned beef imports

According to a report published in Agencia Brasil, the Brazilian government and private companies have decided to put together joint missions to visit some of the major countries that have suspended imports of Brazilian meat, due to the outbreak of foot and mouth disease in Mato Grosso do Sul. So far 41 countries have suspended Brazilian meat imports.

Meanwhile, the disease has been detected on another farm in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, bringing the total number of farms with the disease to 11. Over 10,000 cattle are likely to be slaughtered as a result of the outbreak in Brazil.
