José Waldir Dilkin elected president of ABQTIC

Jose Waldir Dilkin, director of Curtume Berghan (Berghan Tannery), Estância Velha/RS, has been elected president of the Brazilian Association of Leather Technicians and Chemists (ABQTIC). He was introduced at the end of the XVII ABQTIC National Meeting held in Gramado/RS, 13 to 16 October. Jorge Schroer, a well-known leather chemist working at Corium Química, Novo Hamburgo/RS was named vice-president.
Their term in office starts on1 January 2006 and ends on 31 December 2008 .
