Despite the recent EU anti-dumping investigation by the European Union, according to figures released by Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry, footwear exports rose 13% in the first nine months of 2005 to reach $2.22 billion. The increase was attributed to an expansion of export countries, in particular the USA, Japan, Canada and South Africa.
