The Turkish Leather Technologists and Chemists Society (DETEK) will host the second IULTCS Eurocongress on May 24-27, 2006, which will focus on innovation and new technologies for the future of global leather industry.

The congress aims to get the most effective advantages from the latest innovation in leather technology, to develop mechanisms for finding out the solutions to the problems of this sector and to contribute to the formation of necessary atmosphere for this purpose.

Under the main subject; presentations will be given about leather technology covering the latest improvements in the branches of engineering, economy, and fashion; as well as innovations and improvements in the leather quality regarding wet end and finishing processes with new environmental improvements, leather machines, and new techniques.

Representatives from Turkey, Europe and all over the world will discuss the sector’s approach to topics related to leather technologies and are inviting companies and individuals submit papers for discussion.

Authors wishing to present papers are invited to send abstracts written in English, the maximum length of the page shall be A4 format, in Times New Roman, 12, single line spaced including page title, author names, affiliation and full mailing address (including fax number and e-mail address) to the Scientific Committee.

Abstracts should reach the committee no later than October 15, 2005.
