Organisers of Le Cuir à Paris, held on September 20-23, say that the show’s new venue has been a great success. The fair was held for the first time at the Parc des Expositions in conjunction with Première Vision, Expofil, Indigo and Mod’Amont under the banner of Première Vision Pluriel and according to the visitor numbers, 12,116, it has been a very positive move for the event.
Buyers and stylists were treated to the latest innovations in leather production, including stretch leather, printed leathers, stain resistant, washable leathers, and many more. 256 companies from 20 different countries (41% from Italy, 26% from France, 14% from Spain and 19% from other countries including Russia, Brazil, Pakistan, and the USA) exhibited at the show, which attracted 60 new exhibitors and even had to turn down some companies that wished to exhibit due to a lack of space.
61% of exhibitors were from the finished leather sector, 11% were from textiles, 7% exhibited fur, 6% were component and chemical companies, 5% exhibited leather garments, 4% showed raw leathers and skins, and 6% covered other sectors.
