Tod’s income jumps 44% in H1

Italian luxury goods group Tod’s S.p.A has reported positive results for the first half of 2005. Net income grew 44% to reach €20.3 million and the group reported revenues of €236.9 million, 22% higher than in the first half of 2004.

The company stated that of the group’s brands, Tod’s, Hogan, and Fay, achieved excellent results in the six-month period. Tod’s revenues grew by 23.3%, while Hogan and Fay sales increased by 21.3% and 15.5% respectively. As of June 30, 2005, Tod’s represented 60.2% of consolidated sales; Hogan represented 25.7% and Fay 11.6%.

In the company’s different product categories, revenues from shoes increased by 19.4% and represented 66.6% of sales. Revenues from leather goods and accessories increased by 33% and represented 21.9% of sales. The company attributed this to its widening leather accessories ranges. Sales from apparel grew by 15.9% in the first half of 2005.
